Florestina & Lye | The Merion Wedding

Florestina and Lye’s wedding day was a long one, for everyone, with the outfit changes, traditions, levitating, dancing and singing. We started out with Florestina bright and early at 7:30am as she prepared for the first half of their day. As custom, Lye came and picked Florestina up to take her off to his mothers house for the Chinese Tea Ceremony in NE Philadelphia. The great thing about being a wedding photographer is seeing how different cultures celebrate marriage, it keeps us on our toes :). After the ceremony and quite delicious lunch, we headed over to the Smithville Mansion to do their portraits. Lye hadn’t seen Florestina in her white dress so we set up a first look in the ivy ridden court yard. After some fun with the wedding party we wandered around with the couple till it was time to head to the Merion for the next ceremony. These guys kicked it right off breaking into a pretty impressive first salsa dance. The rest of the night was just as entertaining.
