Harry’s Savoy Ballroom Wedding | Kelly & Tom

The second wedding in my double header weekend took me down to Delaware and Harry’s Savoy Ballroom in Wilmington.  We started out at Tom & Kelly’s house with some awesome getting ready shots and portraits of the couple.  They made us feel right at home from the second we walked in.  I love working with relaxed couples that just enjoy their wedding day.  Tom and I also have a common love of our Subaru Foresters!!  We didn’t make it to the park as planned since everything was flooded from the previous night (see  Kelly & Young’s Wedding in Lansdale.)  I took a peek at their backyard and knew that we had to grab a few shots there before we set off for the ceremony at Harry’s Savoy Ballroom.

Everything unfolded without a hitch at Harry’s and it’s always a pleasure to photograph at such a beautiful venue.  As the afternoon wore on I developed an idea for a photograph using some motion blur in the hallway.  It’s the second to last image in this post.   Thanks for a great time and enjoy the pictures!  PS. special thanks to my assistant Maureen who got to photograph the ceremony with me instead of holding a light stand!
