Elkins Park Engagement Session | Natalie & Adam

On Tuesday Maureen and I traveled up to Elkins Park for an engagement shoot with Natalie & Adam. The weather was great, the light was perfect and the couple was awesome. We started and ended with photos of them and their beautiful home. They live just down from Alverthorpe Park where we traveled to after I grabbed the shot immediately below. Natalie took us on a peaceful hike through the forest (whether she knew where we were going or not;) and we stopped along the way to take a few photos and look at deer.

Then we found the lake at the center and were delightfully distracted by some baby ducks. Natalie and Adam were lots of fun and very natural despite the imminent threat of flying golf balls on the par 3 course! I particularly like the slide pictures that we took where I used a slow shutter and popped off flashes to imprint them moving down the slide. Adam really went for it and you can see the result below.

As I said earlier we started and ended the shoot at their house. I conceived the idea on our drive back from the park to get a wide shot of their house with them kissing in the window. I think it looks pretty cool. Thanks to Natalie and Adam for humoring my crazy photo ideas… Can’t wait for your wedding! Enjoy the pics.
