Knowlton Mansion | 3rd Annual Benefit for Autism Research

Last week Matt and I were asked to photograph the 3rd Annual Friends of Celi which supports The Center for Autism Research at CHOP. The event ran by Megan & Eddie Schmidt (Celi’s parents), Lori Little, and Katie O’Malley (who will make another appearance on the blog in the future:) was held at the Knowlton Mansion in Northeast Philadelphia. We were so excited to be able to photograph inside the mansions 19th century constructed rooms and we look forward to working there in the future. Thanks to everyone involved and we can’t wait til next year! Enjoy the images.

Another Big Announcement: THE New Logo!

The Logo Fairy came in the middle of the Night;) If anyone is still wondering about the hint in my post: “Big Announcement…Moving To Glenside!” you will see this logo in the bottom left corner of the image on that post (View it HERE). The logo that you see now has been in the works for over a year if you can believe it!

It was originally designed by Jenelle Rittenhouse last fall among a bunch of other great logos that she created for me. Unfortunately something just wasn’t right and I couldn’t pull the trigger…. so I went with the cake logo that was actually drawn by my friend Jeremy Dorfman. I have tried out soo many different logos over this past year but one day I sat down and started to modify one of Jenelle’s logo’s and what you see at the top of my website is the eventual outcome.

I’m so relieved to finally get a logo that visually represents our style of photography:)

Anyways, I don’t have any hints about future big announcements for this post but we will have a few more things to announce before the winter is over.. namely our winter wedding contest.. But that’s another post. Enjoy the snow!

The Nutcracker by Brandywine Ballet

Ever since I photographed the Nutcracker as performed by the Brandywine Ballet Company last year I have been looking forward to the holiday season:) I know it’s a little after Christmas but we’re finally getting caught up on all of our winter goals/work and I had to share these images that we created with everyone. I can’t look at these images without hearing the corresponding music.. what a great ballet performed by a great ballet company. Enjoy!

Tendenza Wedding Philadelphia | Emily & Jerry

I believe this is the longest post to date on my website! We came back with so many great images from the wedding of Emily & Jerry. It’s easy to take beautiful images when you have lots of time, really nice people and Tendenza! We went all over town before the ceremony, stopping at the Race Street Pier and the Philadelphia Art Museum. The ceremony & reception were held at Tendenza in Northern Liberties (Just down the street from where I used to live!)

There’s something about Tendenza that really fits our style of photography… we’ll be back there soon;) Anyways the whole day was a great time. I really felt comfortable with Emily, Jerry and their guests. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! Hopefully we can work with you in the future. Enjoy the images that we created together.

Big Announcement… Moving to Glenside!

After two years of calling 448 Brown Street the home of McMasters Photography…I am excited to announce that my business is moving 10 miles north of the city into a larger space better suited to our needs. As of today, (December 1st) our official address is:

304 Mt. Carmel Ave.
Glenside, PA 19038

For some time now we’ve been looking for a quiet and more personal space to meet with our clients. We really want to encourage our clients to visit with us to proof their wedding images and to help them decide upon the final album images. Personally I’d like to see all of our clients after their weddings anyways since they’re all great people:) We are still serving the entire PA/NJ/Delaware/entire globe area so nothing accept our physical location is changing.

I should also say that right after I post this I will be spending most of my day in a Dodge Ram graciously loaned to me;) To recap: we moved 10 miles north, we still love Philly, our clients are awesome & we wish everyone happy holidays! We have a few more big announcements to reveal over this winter so stay tuned… There’s actually a hint hidden in the image above; can you guess it? More beautiful images will be on the way soon! If you’re wondering the above image is our first piece of mail at the new address.

Stotesbury Mansion Wedding | Helen & Rob

After months of anticipation.. the day finally comes to post the wedding of Helen & Rob at the Stotesbury Mansion! They were the subjects of one of our favorite engagement sessions this year. They were awesome to work with back then and they were awesome to work with on their wedding.

They have a great sense of humor and really know how to work the camera;) The Stotesbury Mansion is also an incredible place to photograph at as well. We took pictures inside the Mansion as well as just outside at Rittenhouse Square. We really just had a great time at their wedding. We even got to see our other clients Annie & Justin who are neighbors with Helen & Rob!

Thanks sooo much Helen & Rob. We wish you all the best and don’t forget to call us again when you need family pictures;) We hope you enjoy the images that we created with you.

Longwood Gardens Engagement Session | Megan & John

Barring any last minute changes… this is THE final engagement session of the year! And we couldn’t ask for a better way to wrap up a year of incredible sessions than with a trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennet Square. This was the second time that I’ve photographed at Longwood Gardens and I have to say that I’m still overwhelmed with appreciation and awe of the gardens. We had a great time and to be honest it didn’t really feel like work at all:) I also have to say that the 1000 bloom chrysanthemum was amazing to behold (although very difficult to photograph since there was so many people around).

Thanks for a wonderful session Megan & John and we can’t wait to photograph your wedding. Enjoy the images that we created together.
