Week 21. River Rat Jenkins

This weeks pictures was taken a week ago at Bube’s Brewery in Mt. Joy, PA.  I went there to take some pictures of River Rat Jenkins performing as well as catch up with some old friends.  I had already taken pictures of them performing at Bube’s so I wanted to try something different this time.  I decided to set up one of my flashes up above the stage camera left and aim it down on them thus providing a dramatic backlight.  I also used the light on my flash to fill in some of the shadows but I really liked the dark and smokey looking lighting.

I took this picture towards the end of the night and I actually shot it in black and white on my camera.  Of coarse River Rat Jenkins rocked me as always and I always have a great time taking pictures of them.  If you’d like to hear the soundtrack to this pictures please go check out River Rat Jenkins HERE The band the played before them is named the Cornlickers and they played some fantastic blues.  I am going to use a picture that I took of them in my next installment.  Enjoy!
